"Hello and welcome. I’m Kirsten Chalmers, and after many rewarding years in psychology and neurodiversity support, I’m beginning an exciting new chapter in Massage Therapy. myturn2talk Psychology is winding down, and in its place, I’m embracing a holistic path focused on wellness and massage therapy.  With a new vision comes a new(ish) name: myturn2talk_mindbodybalance.

With a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection, my work now centres on helping people reconnect with their physical and emotional well-being through nurturing, restorative bodywork. My background in psychology continues to inform my practice, bringing sensitivity, insight, and care to every session. Whether you're seeking relaxation, renewal, or reconnection, I’m here to support your wellness journey with presence, empathy, and skilled touch."

From Practicing Psychologist to Massage Therapist

While I no longer practise as a psychologist or provide psychological services, my years in the profession remain at the heart of everything I do. The skills, insights and compassion I developed through psychology now inform a more holistic approach to wellbeing — one that honours both the mind and the body.

 

Through myturn2talk_mindbodybalance, I offer relaxation and corporate massage with a gentle awareness of the nervous system, stress, and emotional health. My focus has shifted from therapy to restoration — creating a space where people can slow down, reconnect, and find calm through mindful touch.

Choose from two restorative treatment types, tailored to your unique needs:

 

Relaxation Massage

  • A soothing, oil-based massage designed to release tension and calm the nervous system.

  • Each 30- or 60-minute session invites the body to soften and the mind to unwind, helping to ease stress and restore balance.

  • Gentle, flowing movements encourage deep relaxation and a sense of being cared for — perfect for anyone needing a quiet pause in a busy life.

Corporate Massage

  • A fully clothed massage performed on a table in a serene setting — no oils, just gentle pressure and mindful touch.

  • Ideal for workplace wellness programs or individuals who prefer a non-oil option, these 30- or 60-minute sessions focus on relieving muscular tension in the neck, shoulders, back and arms.

  • The result is renewed focus, relaxation, and a refreshed sense of energy — perfect during the workday or at corporate wellbeing events.
